Why We Built This Site
Alabama offers several public and subject-review channels, but each answers a different question. MCSO manages sheriff records, booking routes, and warrant tools. Mobile's criminal clerks preserve filed charges and dispositions. ALEA's Criminal Records Identification Unit maintains fingerprint-linked Alabama history, while ADOC and the Alabama Sex Offender Registry cover narrower statewide records. Bringing the verified contacts, fees, portals, and limits together makes those divisions easier to navigate.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to an Alabama court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot promise that every listed phone number, fee, address, or office hour remains current
An official copy must come from the issuing office, such as MCSO, the appropriate clerk, or ALEA. This resource can identify that office but cannot issue the document.
